Charroux stands in the Auvergne, in the heart of France and more precisely in the Bourbonnais area.
Situated in the north of the Auvergne, the Bourbonnais is the cradle of the Bourbons royal family. We owe to this glorious past the splendour of the Bourbonnais forests, its vineyards and the multitude of castles and châteaux.
The Bourbonnais villages, often standing around authentic Romanesque churches, have kept their charm. As for spas, such as Vichy, Néris-les-Bains and Bourbon l'Archambault, they have retained their imperial elegance from the days of Napoleon III's influence.
